Weapons and equipment captured in Syria debut at ‘Army 2018’
Armoured weapons and equipment captured during operations in the Syrian Arab Republic were exhibited at the ‘Army 2018’ forum in the Moscow region on Wednesday.

Reportedly, over 1,000 pieces of equipment that were seized from illegal armed groups were put on display, including unmanned aerial vehicles and militants’ improvised explosive devices.

Multiple anti-tank guided missiles complexes were also showcased at the exhibition. These included models such as the US produced TOW and Javelin, and the Franco-German jointly manufactured MILAN. According to one Russian militant, whose name remains undisclosed, the equipment was “captured by the troops of the Syrian Arab Republic during the liberation of the South-western provinces.”

The forum also demonstrated “Jihad mobiles” equipped with machine guns and metal plating.

The ‘Army 2018’ International Military-Technical Forum opened on Tuesday and will run until August 26. It displays 26,000 items of state-of-the-art Russian and international arms from over 1,200 businesses and arms manufacturers.
