A group of military officials were arrested for seizing weapons from a National Guard command post in the Cotiza region of Caracas, on Monday, according to Venezuelan authorities.
The arrest came after a video was posted on social media, where men wearing military fatigues and carrying weapons called for the removal of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. In one of the videos, a man identifying himself as Sergeant Armando Figueroa urged Venezuelans to take to the streets in support of the mutiny.
