Indigenously-developed Dhanush artillery guns handed over to Indian Army
Indigenously-developed 155 mm ‘Dhanush’ artillery guns have been handed over to the Indian Army by the Jabalpur-based Gun Carriage Factory (GCF).
The gun, a towed howitzer with a strike range of 38 km, has been developed by Ordnance Factory Board.
India’s long-range artillery gun Dhanush last year successfully passed its final test in tough circumstances. It also went through tests under severe cold conditions in Sikkim and Leh and in hot and humid weather in Balasore, Odisha, Babina in Jhansi.
